An important part of my academics at Conestoga was capstone project where I was tasked to work on an Integrated Marketing Communications Plan for Your Neighbourhood Credit Union’s Motivate2Skate initiative which is organized by YNCU for international students and new comers in Ontario. Research was an integral part of the project, that included conducting an online survey to get feedback from target market and an extensive secondary research looking up various academic and industry sources. Under the guidance of my project coordinator I successfully completed the IMC plan and was selected to pitch the client. It was a great learning experience that strengthened my research, presentation and communication skills. I further enhanced the plan while I was pursuing Media and Public Relations at Thompson Rivers University, and the revised version is focused more on strategies and tactics as compared to the previous one which was focused more on research.
